When you tell any 教师, 工作人员, administrator or residence hall 工作人员 what happened, they are 要求 通知民权委员会 & 第九条协调员. If you are a Responsible Employee, please make a report 通过这份报告表格. Please keep in mind that this doesn’t mean that any disciplinary proceedings will immediately begin, or that the other person will be contacted or notified a report has been made.

 

当你挺身而出, you don’t have to know how you want to proceed or even how to label what happened. You have the right to an advisor of your choice to support and accompany you through every step of the process. 民权 & 第九条办公室 will make sure you have access to the support and services you need and that you know all your options. Find a list of on-campus reporting options here. You do not have to share the identity of the other person or file a formal complaint in order to learn about your rights and options through the 公民权利 & 第九条办公室.

 

If you’re not sure that you’re ready to talk to the 公民权利 & 第九条办公室, consider contacting a confidential resource. Find a list of confidential reporting options here. Confidential resources will not reveal what you tell them to anyone – not the police, 而不是民权 & 标题IX办公室-未经您的同意. They also can provide you with support and link you to services. • Oxy’s sexual and interpersonal misconduct policy applies to everyone – students, 教师, 工作人员, 管理员, 校园访客.

• It’s never too late to report sexual misconduct.

• Retaliation against anyone who makes a report, 配合调查, or participates in the disciplinary process is a violation of College policy.

You can report instances of sexual misconduct to the 公民权利 & 第九条办公室 in person, 通过电话, 以书面形式, or by email.

Upon receipt of a report, the 公民权利 & 第九条协调员 will reach out to you to offer measures and services Oxy has available to support you – including counseling, 无联络信件, and other accommodations - as well as inform you of the steps the College can take to address your situation and prevent it from happening again.

匿名报告

Any individual may make an anonymous report concerning an act of sexual harassment, 性暴力, 跟踪或亲密伴侣暴力. An individual may report the incident without disclosing their name, 识别对方, 或者请求任何行动. Depending on the extent of information available about the incident or the individuals involved, 然而, the College’s ability to respond to an anonymous report may be limited. The 匿名报告 Form can be found here.

民权 & 第九条协调员 will receive the anonymous report and will determine any appropriate steps, including individual or community remedies as appropriate, and in consultation with the Director of 校园安全, take steps necessary to comply with all Clery Act obligations.
