停车 and Traffic Regulations

 

Following is a summary of the parking and traffic rules and regulations. The complete rules and regulations are available on the 校园安全 Department webpage and in the Campus safety Office (located in the Facilities Management building).

停车 许可证

所有车辆, including motorcycles parked on campus must be registered and display a current parking permit, guests must display a current visitor pass on their vehicle. Vehicles not currently registered are subject to being cited and/or towed/booted.部门, 组, or individuals sponsoring activities during the regular workweek that involve off-campus guests must make advance arrangements for parking and temporary permits with 校园安全.

Any vehicle left unattended and without a valid 十大正规网赌平台 parking permit will be considered abandoned after 30 days and may be towed and impounded at the owner's expense. Any vehicle obstructing the free flow of traffic, blocking properly parked vehicles, parked on a fire road, parked in an area marked as reserved or damaging the physical grounds or property of the College may be towed immediately at the owner's expense. The College and its employees 不会 be held liable for loss or damage to any vehicle required to be towed or stored. Any vehicle found parked in handicapped parking spaces and not displaying a Department of Motor Vehicles issued handicapped placard or special license plate may be cited by 校园安全.

Everyone operating a vehicle on campus is required to comply with the 十大正规网赌平台 停车 and Traffic Regulations, the California Vehicle Code, and 洛杉矶 City parking enforcement regulations. The absence of posted signs or vandalized signs does not constitute a valid excuse for unsafe driving or inappropriate parking on campus.

In order to provide a safer environment, 所有的学生, 教师, and staff members are asked to follow these rules when driving on campus:

• The speed limit on campus is 15 miles per hour.
• The speed limit in our neighborhood is 25 miles per hour.
• Obey all posted stop signs by making a complete stop.
• Pedestrians always have the 通行权; stop at all crosswalks and watch for pedestrians.
• All state and local driving laws will be enforced, including the recognition of all posted signs regarding speed, 通行权, direction of traffic and stop signs.
• All accidents involving personal injury, property damage or hit-and-run must be reported immediately to 校园安全.

四/交通停车

停车 and drive-through vehicular traffic is strictly prohibited in the Quad area without permission from Facilities Management or 校园安全.

Citation Appeals Procedure

The 十大正规网赌平台 parking citation program is administered by Passport 停车. 停车 citation appeals must be filed online through Passport 停车. The website is listed on the citation. Appeals must be received within 14 calendar days from the date issued. Late appeals 不会 be considered.

If costs are incurred by the appellate during the appeal process, the costs are not reimbursable by 校园安全 or 十大正规网赌平台. Only three types of appeals will be considered: an appeal based on unclear regulations; an appeal based on unclear parking lot lines or curb paint; and/or an appeal based on circumstances which made the violation necessary and unavoidable.

以下原因 不会 be accepted for an appeal: (1) ignorance of the regulations (2) lack of parking spaces in a preferred location (3) violation of California Vehicle Code (e.g. parking in handicapped space without permit, parking in fire lane).  Appeals based on merits or perceived faults in the current regulations 不会 be considered.  The appellate will be notified of the results of the decision via email.

When you are issued a parking registration permit you have entered into a contract with 十大正规网赌平台. The Board of Trustees, 它的管理, or other employees are not and shall not be liable under any circumstances for loss or damage to vehicles or contents thereof parked on College property by fire, theft or any other cause whatsoever not arising directly from the negligent acts of the Board of Trustees or its employees acting within the scope of their employment.
